Centre-half Steve Elliott says Bristol Rovers can be satisfied with Tuesday's defensive performance at Watford.
Rovers lost 1-0 in the first round of the Carling Cup but Elliott thought the game could have gone either way.
"We defended well as a unit and restricted them to a few long-range shots and not much else.
"We don't quite know what happened with the goal, maybe it was a foul. I think the ref played advantage," he told BBC Radio Bristol.

Will Hoskins scored the only goal of the game in the 88th minute at Vicarage Road.
"I thought we had a chance, it wasn't their strongest side. We felt we could give them a game and get a result," added Elliott.
"[It] didn't turn out that way and the lads are disappointed.
"They're a decent side and it was a tight game.
