Bayliss has praised the backing given by the Bluebirds' board
Barrow joint-manager Dave Bayliss is still hopeful of securing one of his transfer targets in the next few days.
Bayliss has spoken to two current Football League players and says one has indicated he is keen to join the Blue Square Premier new boys.
"The player has been involved with his first team over the weekend," he told BBC Radio Cumbria.
"He's told me he would consider us for a loan period. We'd love to have him on board and the fans would love him."
Bayliss is refusing to reveal the identity of his target but is confident something can be agreed with the player and his club.
The board have already said they will back us 100% even if it means blowing our budget out of the water

"He's really thinking it over but it's down to the lad himself," Bayliss said.
"He's going to keep in regular touch with us this week to let me know if he is going to be involved in his club's friendly games."
Bayliss has also praised the backing he has received from the Bluebirds' directors as he and fellow manager Darren Sheridan attempt to strengthen their squad ahead of their season opener against Oxford United on 9 August.
"The board have already said they will back us 100% even if it means blowing our budget out of the water if he does agree to come.
"They are really committed to what we are trying to do and they can see how hard we are trying by attracting this sort of player."
