Bayliss is looking to make further additions to his squad
Barrow joint-manager Dave Bayliss says he is hopeful of completing the signing of two "high-profile" players before the start of the season.
Bayliss is eager to strengthen the squad as Barrow prepare for their return to the non-league's top level for the first time since 1998.
"We've got a couple of irons in the fire this week," Bayliss revealed to BBC Radio Cumbria.
"They're two Football League players and we're hoping they will come off."
The Bluebirds have made two signings so far this summer in striker Lee Hunt from Rhyl and midfielder Ashley Winn from Stalybridge Celtic.

Dave Bayliss on Mike Pearson
Barrow have also handed a trial to former Oldham Athletic and Farsley Celtic defender Mike Pearson, who appeared as a substitute in Tuesday's 2-0 defeat by Morecambe.
"He did well," Bayliss said. "Mike can play at right-back or left-back and we'll have another look at him against Radcliffe Borough on Saturday.
"We are in no rush to make a decision. He has been offered full-time contracts elsewhere so it is really down to the lad himself."
The Bluebirds are also expected to take another look at former Morecambe and Blackpool defender Jamie Burns.
Defender Paul Jones is set for a scan on a leg injury picked up in the Morecambe defeat, while Hunt missed the game with tonsilitis.
