Joint manager Bayliss says home form will be crucial to Barrow's prospects
Barrow AFC joint-manager Dave Bayliss says the club intends to make further signings in the next few days.
"We are going to bring one or two new faces in to strengthen," he told BBC Radio Cumbria's Matchnight programme.
"We have spoken to the chairman and he has been brilliant once again in backing me and [joint-manager] Darren [Sheridan] in our judgement on players.
"We are confident that any player we bring in will only be better than what we have already got."
But Bayliss said he was unlikely to add another right-back before the transfer deadline despite Lee Woodyatt's long-term injury and suspension to Mike Pearson.
"We've got lads in the squad who can play that position," he said.
Every extra person who comes through the door to watch us brings us extra revenue for our playing budget

"I played a few Football League games there - although some of the lads might think I'm a bit past it by now.
"Andrew Bond can also play there so we will just have to shuffle things around. But we have enough quality in the squad who can play in different positions so I'm not too worried about that."
However, he indicated other positions might need further cover, with the 1 September transfer deadline looming.
"There will be a three- or four-month gap once we are in that transfer window. We might pick up a few injuries so we need to make sure that we are covered in all areas."
Meanwhile, Bayliss is confident his side can bounce back from the diusappointment of their first defeat of the new Blue Square Premier season at Cambridge United.
"Mansfield is another massive game for us," he said. "It's a new experience for me and Darren and for the lads and we're looking forward to every game.
"Mansfield will bring up a big following on Saturday so we need the town of Barrow to do what they did for the Oxford game and get right behind us again.
"If we're to do anything in this league then it's going to be based around our home form. The supporters can play a massive part in that."
Bayliss also highlighted the importance that extra revenue through the Holker Street turnstiles would have on the club's playing budget.
"Every extra person who comes through the door brings us extra revenue for our playing budget," he said.
"The more people who come then maybe he better calibre of player we will be able to bring in."
