Marc McGregor's late scrappy goal earned Worcester City a 1-0 home win over Stalybridge Celtic in their Blue Square Bet North fixture.
There were not many clear-cut chances at either end during the 90 minutes but McGregor's effort secured the points.
Graham Ward's corner was poked goalwards by Danny Glover but it cannoned home off McGregor's midriff.
The win leaves City in 12th place in the league table, with Stalybridge four points and four places worse off.
Worcester manager Carl Heeley told BBC Hereford and Worcester: "Whoever we play here or away we are positive - we don't go there trying to nick points or avoid being beaten heavily.
"We go there attempting to win the game and sometimes that will go against us and we get beaten.
"We want to be positive and I think it has paid dividends."
