Carl Heeley blasts Worcester City players

Worcester boss Carl Heeley blasted his players after they were hammered 4-1 at home by Eastleigh in Monday night's FA Trophy second round replay.

Danny Glover fired Worcester ahead, only for the visitors to turn it round through Tony Taggart (2), Peter Adeniyi and Richard Gillespie.

"I have questioned one or two players' effort and work ethics," Heeley told BBC Hereford and Worcester.

"They are cheating me, their team-mates and the paying public," he added.

"All I ask from them is to work hard and apply themselves correctly and if we fall short I cannot accept that.

"This football club will never be about an individual or a group.

"I won't tolerate it and the people I have pointed the finger at have been told."

Worcester missed out on £6,000 in prize money, as well as a lucrative third round home tie against Chasetown.
