A brace from Waide Fairhurst eased Hereford's relegation worries to secure an impressive win at Cheltenham.
The on-loan Doncaster forward struck either side of half time, first with a neat finish off the post after Stuart Fleetwood's lay-off.
And a minute from time, Fleetwood was on hand to again set up Fairhurst, who clinically curled home a shot from eight yards.
Janos Kovacs earlier made it two with a header from Kenny Lunt's free-kick.
Hereford manager Jamie Pitman told BBC Hereford and Worcester: "We learned a little bit of a lesson on Tuesday (against Macclesfield) at the end there but we've consolidated and done very well.
"I thought Kenny Lunt was excellent as well throughout as he controlled the game for us by getting on the ball and breaking things up.
"You can't really pick anybody out as everybody has played very well today."
