AFC Telford United have extended defender Shane Killock's contract up to the Summer of 2012, with the option of a further extension after that.
Killock was signed by previous manager Rob Smith from Oxford United in 2009.
Telford chairman Lee Carter told BBC Radio Shropshire: "We are delighted to have secured Shane for a further period of time beyond the end of this season.
"He is an instrumental figure at the club and, at only 21 years old, has massive potential."
Bucks manager Andy Sinton was quick to install Killock as captain for the current season.
Telford have also revealed defender Ashley Wooliscroft has left the club, citing work commitments.
The former Stafford full-back has struggled to break into the first team.
