Alfreton Town moved three points clear at the top of Blue Square Bet North with a 6-0 victory over Harrogate Town.
Matt Wilson gave the hosts a lead after just three minutes, and Harrogate were unable to recover.
Town manager Simon Weaver told BBC Radio York: "This is on the back of two unlucky 1-0 defeats but luck definitely didn't play a part either way today.
"I picked up the vibes before the game that the players looked exhausted."
Weaver added: "We tried to freshen it up this week getting a lad in up front but we haven't had clearance for him in time.
"I had to name the same team and after a game on a heavy pitch (at Blyth) and we played with 10 men for the majority of the second half the other night.
"I'd rather see how we react than hammer down on the lads too much.
"I don't think it was lack of endeavour, it was tiredness. The lads didn't get home the other night until around one in the morning and there's a lot of lads in manual labour who are up at six the next day.
