Former Woking striker Giuseppe Sole says the club can thrive despite financial cuts at Kingfield.
The 22-year-old was released by Cards boss Graham Baker after the playing budget was cut by 20%.
Sole told BBC Surrey: "Graham has done an unbelievable job with the budget he's got. He'll have to do it all over again but I'm sure he can do that.
"He knows a good player when he sees one. It's just a matter of getting those players to Woking."

Sole added: "He will use the resources that he's got wisely.
"He put a fantastic team together that got to the play-off final. Hopefully he can do it again next season."
The 22-year-old spent six years with Woking after coming through the club's academy.
"I hope the fans understand I need a new challenge. It's been an absolute pleasure to play for my hometown club," he said.
