Alfreton boss Nicky Law draws on play-off experience
Law's side have made the play-offs two seasons in a row
Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law says last season's run to the Blue Square North play-offs should help them in this season's play-off campaign.
The Reds are away against Workington in Wednesday's semi-final first-leg tie.
Law told BBC Radio Derby: "We went on a great run, found ourselves there and probably it was unknown for a lot of people but last year could help us.
"It motivates us and arms with a little bit more experience. Maybe it all came a little bit quick for us last year."
The Reds face Workington on Wednesday with the return match at the Impact Arena on Sunday, 2 May.
Law, whose side were unbeaten in the two league games against Workington - drawing 1-1 away and winning 2-0 at home - added: "We've had two tough games against them.
"We played up there on a poor night when it was hammering down and windy; the game just about got on and they gave us a real good run in Alfreton.
"They are young, enthusiastic with a lot of energy and have good players and they have not gone on the run they have by being a poor side.
Wherever we have gone, we have scored goals, and that is what we shall be looking to do again

"We are aware of that but it's about what we do. We are confident that if we get it right on the day, we can get the result."
And Law insisted his side will not be erring on the side of caution on Wednesday evening.
"We're going to go and try to win," he continued. "We don't want to go there and try to come away unscathed - I think that would be an error. We have to go with a positive approach, as we have done all season.
"Wherever we have gone, we have scored goals, and that is what we shall be looking to do again."
