Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law has paid tribute to his promotion-chasing side's spirit as they look to secure a place in the play-offs.
The Reds head into the closing stages of the Blue Square North season in fine form with only one defeat in 13 games.
Law said: "We haven't got the biggest squad and they have also had to deal with a major injury crisis this season.
"It is testament to the great character of the players that we are in the position we are in."
Alfreton bounced back from a first defeat in 12 games to beat Blyth Spartans last weekend and Law feels his side deserve tremendous credit for their efforts this term.
He added: "We have done brilliantly to go 11 unbeaten and still be where we are after the six points from Farsley's collapse have been taken off.
"We are competing against some big-spending clubs in a division which gets tougher every year. This season is certainly the hardest in my time at the club."
The first of their last eight games is on Saturday when the Reds travel to face fellow play-off hopefuls Stalybridge Celtic.
The Celts are sixth, six points behind the Reds but with two games in hand.
