Stewart Roach was once again on the score sheet this weekend

Great Yarmouth Town are within touching distance of promotion back to the Ridgeons Premier Division.

After their 6-0 demolition of Downham Town on Saturday, The Bloaters need just two points to secure the required top three finish.

They'll look to do that as early as Tuesday when they travel to Team Bury and it will be no more than they deserve having been amongst the front runners all season.

Jake Reed took his tally to 16 for the campaign with a hat-trick at Downham on Saturday while top scorer Stewart Roach, Craig Roberts and Scott Woodcock were the other scorers.

Wroxham gave themselves a timely boost as the FA Vase Final fast approaches.

The Yachtsmen suffered a couple of disappointing league defeats last week, but returned to winning ways with a single-goal victory over title contenders CRC at Trafford Park.

Steve Spriggs got the all-important goal with a sweet first half strike but the win was marred by an injury to Graham Challen.

The Wroxham skipper pulled up with a hamstring problem and is likely to be out for a few games. Fingers crossed he'll be fit for the big day.

The curtain comes down on their season at Crown Meadow where The Blues will be presented with the league trophy. It is bound to be some occasion.
