Norwich City celebrate promotion
Norwich chief executive David McNally says manager Paul Lambert will be backed financially in the Championship.
The Canaries have returned to the second tier at the first time of asking after Saturday's 1-0 win at Charlton.
"We'll be better off but I guarantee you we'll quickly spend that money on new contracts and new players," McNally told BBC Radio Norfolk.
"It's incremental, it won't transform our business and it's only the money we lost when we were relegated."
McNally joined the Canaries less than a year ago following their relegation to League One, and he admits their promotion will not end their hunt for fresh investment.
"This is not like being promoted to the Premier League, which would transform the profit and loss accounts of this football club, and yes we are planning to get there," he said.
We should enjoy the moment and really celebrate, that's my view and it's shared by most of the experienced managers in football

There is also some debate between supporters as to whether or not promotion, or securing the League One title, should be celebrated beyond a match-day at Carrow Road.
Some fans have said they would like the achievement recognised by a civic reception or even an open-top bus tour of the City centre, while others believe their spell in League One should not be glorified.
But McNally said to not celebrate would be a missed chance.
"When you win anything in football, celebrate like there's no tomorrow because winning things and success in football comes so rarely," he said.
"We should enjoy the moment and really celebrate, that's my view and it's shared by most of the experienced managers in football."
McNally, who sacked Bryan Gunn and appointed Paul Lambert as the club's manager last August, says the achievement of immediately returning to the Championship should not be underestimated.
"It's massive. You only have to look back at the history of our club to see how difficult it is to achieve anything in this difficult game we play.
"To achieve promotion back at the first time of asking is a real achievement, you only need look at the teams that failed to do so in recent years, Leeds United and Nottingham Forest to name two," he added.
