Harrogate boss Weaver ready for league survival fight
Simon Weaver has signed five players from the defunct Farsley Celtic
Harrogate Town manager Simon Weaver remained positive despite another defeat which kept his side at the bottom of Blue Square North.
Town lost 2-1 at home to Workington keeping them six points adrift at the foot of the table.
Weaver told BBC Radio York: "I can't fault any of my players tonight. Again they tried hard and we look to be a very promising team now."
Harrogate Town have nine games left to escape relegation.
After strengthening his squad in recent weeks Weaver said he believes they can still achieve safety.
"Time's running out and we know that. We can't keep saying unlucky and we're looking for the tide to turn," said Weaver.
"It's been some rocky ride this year and circumstances at times haven't helped. But we've got the makings of a really good team, I know we have.
"We've come up against a side fighting for the play-offs and we've made them look ordinary.
"It's important they keep their spirits up and it's down to mental strength now.
"Normal players and normal clubs would probably chuck in the towel, but I don't think I've not got a normal group. I think I've got a team of fighters now. By hook or by crook we'll do it."
