Harrogate Town suffered their fourth defeat in a row, as Gareth Seddon's 70th minute strike brought Blue Square North leaders Fleetwood a 1-0 win.
Despite the defeat manager Simon Weaver told BBC Radio York: "Everyone put in a very good shift today.
"We worked really hard. I said to the lads, you all deserve a lot of credit and played a lot of good football."
Town stay bottom, six points behind Vauxhall Motors and, in effect, 10 points from guaranteed safety.
"You look at the depth [Fleetwood] have got, players like Milligan who scored twice against us at their place [in a 2-2 draw], probably one of the best midfielders in non-league, and he's on the bench.
We're going to try to get 30 points out of 30 points, we're going for their throats

"Then Seddon comes off the bench and cracks one in, he's different class for this level, but when we get our forwards back, I think they're different class as well.
"I'm very excited at the prospects of adding our forward talent to this team, we can expect to win games."
Weaver is still confident of making an escape, as he has several new signings available for most of the last ten games, the first of which is at home to Workington on 23 March.
"We've got the basics of a good team. There are 30 points to play for, and I think we can go into every game looking to be positive."
John Maloney and Josh Radcliffe are injury doubts for Workington, but Weaver has plenty of options and a few selection headaches.
"We've three players to come in, where can we fit them in, but they're quality players.
"We're going to try to get 30 points out of 30 points, we're going for their throats," Weaver added.
