Harrogate Town sign striker Lee Ellington

Harrogate Town

Harrogate Town have signed striker Lee Ellington who has become available after Farsley Celtic resigned from Blue Square North.

The 30-year old, who has also played for Stalybridge and Gainsborough Trinity, has signed for the club until the end of the 2011 season.

Harrogate Town chairman Bill Fotherby said: "It is a fantastic boost.

"Lee is a player admired and wanted by many and it is great that Harrogate Town have secured his services."

Fotherby added: "The fact that Lee has committed himself until the end of next season is tremendous."

Due to a Football Conference technicality Ellington will not be available for selection until 27 March.

Meanwhile the club has also announced that CNG will be its sponsors again next season.

Club Secretary Alan Williams said: "Finding any sponsor in the present climate is very difficult but Harrogate Town are blessed with some fantastic sponsors and the fact that CNG have stated their intent so early is great news."
