Worcester City were frustrated by a fine goalkeeping performance by Paul Bastock as St Albans City left St George's Lane with a point.
Worcester created numerous chances, Alfie Carter missing the best of them when he headed over from close range.
But the experienced Bastock was the difference with a string of fine saves as he kept the visitors in the game.
Worcester remain seven points clear of third-bottom Lewes, who have two games in hand over Carl Heeley's side.
Worcester City manager Carl Heeley told BBC Hereford and Worcester:
"I have known Paul Bastock for many years and he was the sole reason they got a point today.

"He was outstanding and denied us on numerous occasions.
"You acknowledge people's good performances and he is an old mate so I've just said to him: 'Well done, I thought you earned your side a point today."
