Hereford ended a run of four straight home defeats with victory over Bradford in an entertaining contest.
Frenchman Mathieu Manset headed the home side's first in the 33rd minute after Ryan Valentine headed Marc Pugh's corner back across goal.
Eighteen-year-old striker Jake Jervis, on loan from Birmingham, then lobbed the Bradford goalkeeper late on.
Earlier, Hereford had a let-off when Bradford sub Mark McCammon headed a corner onto the foot of the post.
Hereford director of football Graham Turner told BBC Hereford and Worcester:
"We worked very hard and we had some good patches of play at times.
"Obviously the pitch cut up a little bit with the rain but I have got to be delighted with the attitude and application of the players and the manner in which we went about it.
"We had to cope with some very big players particularly from set plays but I thought there were some outstanding performances."
