Johnson started just one game for King's Lynn this season
King's Lynn assistant boss Andy Johnson has resigned due to a dispute over unpaid wages.
The former Wales international has left after Lynn won just two games in eight this season, with no home wins.
"It's purely down to the club's financial situation and I don't think I'm being treated fairly," he told BBC Radio Norfolk.
"I haven't been paid in full for the last season and I've only received part of my wages from this campaign."
Johnson was the only player retained from last season when Carl Heggs was made Lynn manager in June.
The former Norwich and West Brom midfielder says his decision is no reflection on his relationship with the man who made him his assistant.
"It's got nothing to do with me and Carl - we've had a very good working relationship, we've worked hard at the club," he said.
The club hit dire financial straights while in Blue Square North last season when director Michael Chinn withdrew his financial backing in February.
Most of the club's first-team squad, including Johnson, agreed to defer a third of their wages for the remainder of the season.
You think you're putting your shift in and fulfilling your side of the bargain but it's not being reciprocated by the football club

Chinn came back on board as a director in June, agreeing to help fund the club in the Unibond League, albeit to a lesser degree than in the Conference, but Johnson says his own contribution to the club has not been recognised.
"I work very hard for the club. My car's full up every Tuesday and Thursday for training, I bring the lads home from games, I do a lot of running around.
"I made the decision after Tuesday night's game; you get back at two o'clock in the morning, you think you're putting your shift in and fulfilling your side of the bargain but it's not being reciprocated by the club," he said.
