Heggs ready to ring the changes

Carl Heggs says his team need to cut out the silly mistakes to get their first points of the new season.

King's Lynn visit Burscough in the third game of their Unibond League season on Saturday.

Having lost 3-2 at Matlock Town on Tuesday, Heggs told BBC Radio Norfolk he is determined to get a win.

"I'm not going to stop, there'll be more changes again tomorrow, I'll keep doing whatever it takes until I get it right," he said.

"It's not the team, it's not the system, it's not myself, it's just individual errors at the moment that are costing us.

"Of course you would have liked to have started the season with two wins after I sold the football club to everybody, unfortunately it hasn't turned out that way," he added.

Lynn travelled up to Lancashire on Friday afternoon, and Heggs was pleased the club have allowed him to give the players such a relaxed preparation.

"That's why I'm so happy to be the manager of King's Lynn, because they do things properly.

"So if we don't get a result on Saturday it's not because we haven't prepared properly, it's because the players aren't able to get a result against a side I think we should be beating," he said.

Heggs has rebuilt the entire King's Lynn team since taking over as manager in June.
