Culverhouse was a key member of the successful Canaries team of the 1990s
Norwich City have confirmed the appointment of Ian Culverhouse as assistant to new manager Paul Lambert.
Culverhouse played 369 games for Norwich in a Canaries career that lasted nearly ten years.
He told BBC Radio Norfolk: "It's great. I've always had affection for the club, it was a major part of my career.
"Now we've got a job to do. We've got some good players who need a little bit of help. Hopefully we can guide them in the right way."
Culverhouse and Lambert are joined by head of football operations Gary Karsa, completing a trio that has previously worked together at Colchester and Wycombe.
These players here need help, they need a bit of confidence and they need the crowd right behind them.

Culverhouse says Lambert takes the kind of approach to management that gets the best out of players.
"He's a very good man-manager, that's his great strength. He won't really get close to people. He keeps his distance but he earns respect through the person he is," he added.
"These players will certainly know when they've done well, and they'll certainly know when they've let him down. I think they'll enjoy his management."
Culverhouse was on the visiting bench when City lost 7-1 at home to Colchester on the opening day of League One, but he says he is not holding that match against any of the players.
He stated: "These players here need help, they need a bit of confidence and they need the crowd right behind them."
"I know how passionate the fans are here, they'll play a massive part for us this season but it's up to us to give them something to shout about."
Ian Crook will remain as coach of the Norwich reserve team while helping with first-team coaching duties, but John Deehan has left his role as head scout.
