Paul Lambert's reign as Norwich boss got off to a great start as his side romped to a superb win over Wycombe.
Grant Holt poked in to give Norwich the lead, Korey Smith made it 2-0 with a low drive before Jon Otsemobor grabbed the third with a curling header.
Jon-Paul Pittman reduced the deficit pouncing on a defensive error by Jens Berthel Askou and Matt Harrold made it 3-2, firing in after the break.
But a bullet header from Askou and a second from Holt secured a Norwich win.
Norwich manager Paul Lambert told BBC Radio Norfolk:
"For the club's sake I think we had to get a bit of freshness and throw in a couple of young lads who gave us some legs. In modern football you have to have pace in your team.
"When you have a crowd like this coming you have to give them something to get them going and they responded brilliantly, I'm delighted for the fans that's for sure."
