King's Lynn have named Redditch coach Carl Heggs as their new manager as they prepare for life in the Unibond League.
The 38-year-old former Swansea and Northampton striker is entering his first managerial role.
The Linnets were demoted from the Football Conference because their ground was deemed to be sub-standard.
Heggs is already holding talks with possible signings as he attempts to lead the Norfolk side back into the Blue Square North.
Heggs has no previous connection with the club and chairman Ken Bobbins told BBC Radio Norfolk his new manager will be a breath of fresh air.
"He's got bags of non-league and league football experience, he's got the kind of enthusiasm we need around the club," he said.

"He'll make the club feel good again and play good attacking honest football."
Former manager Keith Webb resigned at the end of last season.
He took a 30% wage deferral because of financial problems at The Walks.
With no players currently under contract at the club, Heggs is in for a busy summer as he looks to rebuild the squad.
