Heggs praises the Redditch spirit

Redditch United coach Carl Heggs has issued a rallying cry to his men ahead of the Blue Square North game against Hucknall on Tuesday night (1945 GMT).

The club may be one of the lowest payers in the league, but Heggs says they have a great spirit.

"Since we have cleared the decks of players who earned more than 100, we have given everything in every game,"

"We've made mistakes but we have loads of positives going into Hucknall," Heggs told BBC Hereford and Worcester.

"I don't fear any side in this league. I would love to be at a club where there is a bit of money, but there isn't.

"I am not going to stand there crying or moaning. We will give our all like I did as a player.

"What we need is a little bit more determination and desire to do the crappy side of football, and we will be all right."

Redditch have slipped to within two points of the Blue Square North drop zone, having won just once in the league this year.
