Harrogate Town manager Neil Aspin described their 1-0 Boxing Day victory at home to Farsley Celtic as "a great win" following five defeats in a row.
Town stay fourth in Blue Square North thanks to a goal from Richard Marshall.
Town boss Neil Aspin told BBC Radio York: "With myself being under pressure the players put on a great display.
"We had Danny Lowe carrying a leg injury and Jamie Smith played the game when he wasn't feeling very well but he had no option but to continue."
Town started the game without several key players due to injury or suspension.
And while one of Town's defeats was in the West Riding County Cup, Aspin conceded: "If you have three defeats now, you can be under pressure.
"I came to the game feeling probably the worst I've felt since I've been in charge.
"Everybody loves you when you're winning but when you're losing, nobody speaks to you and everybody tends to ignore you.
"The fact that we're depleted with injuries counts for nothing, at the end of the day people just see the result."
Town take on Farsley in the return fixture at Throstle Nest on New Years Day.

And Aspin added: "Farsley are a good team but it's nicer for us to be going on the back of this result, which will give us a bit more confidence.
"I'm still under pressure because we've got some difficult games coming up and the injury situation's not getting any better."
Of the four injured players who missed the win only striker Danny Holland has a chance of featuring, while striker James Dean is still suspended.
