Aspin worried as injuries pile up

Harrogate Town boss Neil Aspin is worried about his injury list after his side drew 1-1 at lowly Solihull Moors.

Town stayed third in Blue Square North after Nathan Peat's free-kick leveller.

An injury to midfielder Matty Young added to the medium-term loss of forward Danny Holland, while fellow striker James Dean is suspended.

Aspin told BBC Radio York: "For the first time probably since I became manager we're having a real problem with injuries."

He continued: "It was probably a fair result."

We're in a difficult spell, we're drawing lots of games and we've got to turn those draws into wins

Young will be out for a few weeks, while Holland will be missing for up to six weeks, as he requires a knee operation.

Aspin explained: "[Holland's] isn't a serious injury, it's a cartilage injury which is very commonplace, it's just a case of getting it done and then starting the rehab to get him fit."

Despite the two dropped points Town gained on the leaders and are now five points adrift of Tamworth and Southport.

Tamworth went top despite not playing in the league because Southport lost 3-2 at home to Redditch.

Town have not won a game since beating King's Lynn 4-0 on 20 September, excluding the FA Cup penalty shoot-out win against Workington.

"At the moment we're in a difficult spell, we're drawing lots of games and we've got to turn those draws into wins," Aspin added.

Town's next game is at struggling Burscough on Saturday and Aspin said: "They beat us home and away last year by the odd goal, so I'm well aware what can happen at Burscough."
