Sheringham is a frequent visitor to Park View Road to watch Charlie
Ex-England striker Teddy Sheringham is confident his son Charlie will attract attention from bigger clubs if he keeps playing well for Welling United.
Charlie, 20, is the Blue Square South side's top scorer with six goals.
Sheringham senior told BBC Radio Kent: "If he scores a few more goals, looks good, you never know.
"Someone's always watching. Somebody may give someone a tip-off that's there's a good player down at Welling and take a chance on him."
The 42-year-old also revealed he gives his son simple fatherly advice.
"All I say to him is enjoy your football, put every effort into it, play with enthusiasm and you never know where it's going to take you," he said.
"There are so many scouts out there, so many people looking for that rough diamond that if you've got a bit of talent they'll have you down for a trial.
If you keep performing for you club, in whatever league you're playing in, someone will spot you

"Where as in the olden days, in my time, there were a few good players who could have slipped through the net.
"Nowadays I don't think there's any chance of that.
"If you keep performing for you club, in whatever league you're playing in, someone will spot you."
Sheringham junior originally started out at his father's first club, Millwall, as part of their academy, before moving on to another of Teddy's teams, Tottenham Hotspur.
Having been released by Spurs, he was given a trial at Bournemouth, and then another at Ipswich Town, where he won an FA Youth Cup winners medal.
Last season he bagged six goals in five games for Cambridge City before their relegation.
