Welling United manager Andy Ford hopes Charlie Sheringham can keep scoring following his return to form.
Sheringham, the son of ex-England striker Teddy, scored twice against AFC Wimbledon on Saturday after going over two months without a league goal.
Ford told BBC Radio Kent: "Charlie is playing behind two good strikers in James Baker and Loui Fazakerley and that will help him.
"He can go and play in that little hole and hopefully score some more goals."
Before Saturday, Sheringham had not scored in the Blue Square South since Welling's win over Hayes & Yeading United on 30 August.
"Charlie hadn't been scoring of late," Ford added. "He had some chances but didn't manage to tuck them away."
Last season Sheringham bagged six goals in five games for Cambridge City before their demotion.
