Dryden's Worcester have won three of their opening six games
Worcester City manager Richard Dryden praised his players for their efforts as they got back to winning ways with a 2-0 Blue Square South win at Bromley.
Two goals in the opening four minutes gave City their first win in four games and moved them up to ninth place.
"I've been a little bit annoyed all week and the response has been good," Dryden told BBC Hereford & Worcester.
"But I don't want to be coming back saying the response was good after Basingstoke because we didn't turn up."
Dryden had made no secret of his frustration at his team's recent lacklustre first-half showings, but he admitted this never looked like being an issue after City's lightning start at Hayes Lane.
Back in the side after an early-season injury, Matt Dodd made an immediate impact as he set up Marco Adaggio who put City ahead after only 21 seconds before Craig Wilding doubled the lead on four minutes.
Dryden said that, after his anger following the poor Bank Holiday Monday performance in the 1-0 defeat by Bath City, it was clear to him that the message had got through.
People have seen him in pre-season and thought 'wow', and you expect him to do that week-in week-out, but wingers don't do it week-in week-out

"The difference was unbelievable and to be fair to the players it was all down to them," said Dryden.
"They know we didn't put in a great performance in the first half against Bath but the annoying thing was that we did it in the second half."
The return to the starting line-up of Dodd was a major bonus for City and Dryden is now hoping that his summer signing can steer clear of injury.
"That's what we got him in for and we have missed him," said the City boss.
"Matt will hold his hand up as well - he didn't have the best game-and-a-half and then he got injured, but he's stepped up two leagues.
"People have seen him in pre-season and thought 'wow', and you expect him to do that week-in week-out, but wingers don't do it week-in week-out."
Worcester City will return to action when they will head to Basingstoke Town on Tuesday when the kick-off will be at 1945 BST.
