Forest Green player-assistant manager Jamie Pitman has ended his playing career and left the club to join Hereford United as physiotherapist.

The 32-year-old joined Rovers from Hereford in 2006 and has previously played for Swindon, Yeovil and Woking.

Manager Jim Harvey told the club's website: "Jamie has made a significant contribution to the club during the two years he has been at Forest Green.

"We are disappointed to be losing him but wish him well."
