Chris Pennell scored Worcester's try in Saturday's defeat at Bath |
Worcester Warriors full-back Chris Latham says that two of his back three colleagues are good enough to soon be playing international rugby. Latham, who played a record number of games at full-back for Australia, says wingers Miles Benjamin and Chris Pennell have the ability to step up. "They have come up against some of the contenders for the England spot and have played all over them," he said. "They are happy to come in off the wing and do some of the hard yards." Latham says that both have come to terms quickly with this season's new Experimental Law Variations. "Talking about the ELV's," he said, "these are two of the players who are happy to get stuck in there and mix it." Pennell and Benjamin are almost certain to be in the Warriors line-up for the game against Harlequins on Thursday night, as both Rico Gear and Marcel Garvey are still injured. There will be full commentary on Warriors against Harlequins (2000 BST) on BBC Hereford and Worcester on 104,104.4 and 104.6 fm, and on line at bbc.co.uk/herefordandworcester.
