Aspin said Harrogate made hard work of their 3-1 win at Gateshead
Harrogate Town boss Neil Aspin was happy with back-to-back wins in Blue Square North over the bank holiday but says performances must still improve.
A 3-1 win at Gateshead on Monday, following Saturday's 2-0 win over Hucknall, moved Town to third place.
Aspin told BBC Radio York: "Against Hucknall we expected three points but Gateshead was a different proposition. They've started the season very well.
"But we still made hard work of it. Performance levels need to be better."
He added: "I'm very disappointed with the goal we conceded from the corner. You don't want to concede in any game but conceding after two minutes was the worst possible start.
"But the sending off [of Gateshead's Craig Nelthorpe] was a big turning point in the game.
"They definitely lost the impetus and we had the extra man and were able to capitalise in the second half."
