Mick Fuller's Kirkham came second in Vodkat League Division Two
Kirkham & Wesham manager Mick Fuller has admitted it has only now begun to sink in that his side are in the final of the FA Vase.
The Fylde coast based outfit take on Lowestoft Town at Wembley on Sunday, and Fuller said he has a basic idea of who will be in the starting line-up.
"We have now named a squad of 18," he told BBC Radio Lancashire.
"The harder part is to reduce it to 16 and then 11, so there are a lot of challenges between now and Sunday."
This is far, far bigger than anything we've ever experienced
Mick Fuller
"I have looked back at the games we've played in the Vase, the formations we've played and the individuals we've used," said Fuller. "But we've got one or two other options now and we may look at making slight changes.
"So the actual starting 11 is not concluded at all."
Kirkham have enjoyed a successful first season in the Vodkat League - securing promotion to Division One, as well as winning the Division Two Trophy. And Fuller admitted that every squad member deserves credit.
"If I could I'd play all these players," Fuller said. "They've been outstanding to the football club.
"They've been loyal ambassadors for many, many years and I appreciate the individuals who don't start will be upset.
"I have never been in a position like this. A final's a final and there are disappointments and some people are a bit more vocal than others.
"But this is far, far bigger than anything we've ever experienced."
You will be able to hear full commentary on the FA Vase Final on Sunday on 103.9FM.
