Fuller's men in Vase last eight
Mick Fuller
Kirkham and Wesham boss Mick Fuller was delighted with Saturday's victory
Kirkham and Wesham manager Mick Fuller described himself "proud as punch" following Saturday's FA Vase win over Sussex side Crowborough.

Kirkham, the last step six side in the competition, won 2-0 to reach the quarter-finals for the first time.

Fuller told BBC Radio Lancashire: "It's the first time I've welled up while I've been at this football club.

"In amateur football you don't get many opportunities to get to Wembley, so you make sure you give everything."

Fuller paid tribute to the travelling fans who left the Fylde Coast at 0545GMT on Saturday morning to travel down to Sussex.

"I went and shook all the hands of the people who came and supported us," he said. "They gave us a lot of support once we'd gone 1-0 up and once we'd scored the second they didn't shut up."
