Nuneaton 1-2 Scarborough

Scarborough brought the curtain down on their season in style following a narrow victory at Nuneaton.

Darren Connell struck the winner 13 minutes from time after Jason Harris had cancelled out Darryn Stamps' opener for the visitors.

Nuneaton's Barry Williams wasted the best chance of a scrappy first half when heading Warren Peyton's cross wide from six yards out.

The Seadogs' Stamp showed him how it should be done when he rose to meet Connell's centre seven minutes after the break.

Harris levelled for the home side with a spectacular volley from all of 25 yards.

Scarborough were not to be denied though. Connell latching on to Jason Blunt's pass to seal three points.

Nuneaton: MacKenzie, Cooper, Love, Howey, Angus, Turner, Barry Williams, Peake, Peyton, Harkin, Harris. Subs: Thackeray, Hodgson, Crowley, Charles, Tullin.

Scarborough: Woods, Hotte, Baker, Rennison, Wright, Blunt, Salt, Jordan, Pounder, Stamp, Rose. Subs: Maughan, Connell, Brunton, Henderson, Shannon.

Referee: K Barnes (Swindon).
