Margate finished the season in style with an 8-0 win as relegated Stalybridge ended the game in disarray with just nine men.

The hosts began brightly and were 2-0 up after just 11 minutes. Nick Roddis scored a spectacular opener, lashing a volley into the top right-hand corner after eight minutes.

Mark Munday then doubled the lead when he headed the ball home from six yards following Paul Lamb's free-kick.

Steve Pickford was booked for the visitors after 15 minutes and was dismissed for a second bookable offence just two minutes later.

Chris Kinnear's men gave their supporters more to cheer after 37 minutes with a superb left-foot strike from Lamb finding its way into the top corner.

It was 4-0 after 54 minutes when Jay Saunders drilled the ball home from 18 yards.

Roddis was then fouled by Robert Woodhead and Leon Braithwaite converted the spot-kick to increase the lead before David Fish was dismissed to leave the visitors with nine men.

And Braithwaite added another before John Keister completed the scoring with a late double.
