The BBC's African sports programme Fast Track brings you a weekly rundown of all the African goal scorers across the top leagues in Europe.

In France, Senegal striker Mamadou Niang opened the scoring for Marseille against Nice, who then equalised through Ivorian Kafoumba Coulibaly.

But then just before half-time Nice's Nigerian defender Onyekachi Apam was sent-off and his side ended up losing 3-1.

Ivory Coast striker Bakary Kone sealed the win for Marseille with a strike four minutes before the end.

Mali's Mamadou Samassa continued his fine form this season, scoring for Valenciennes in their 3-1 win over Monaco - Tunisia midfielder Fahid Ben Khalfallah was also on target with the third goal.

Moroccans Adesalam Ouaddou and Youssouf Hadji were both on the score sheet for Nancy who collected all the points at Auxerre in a 3-1 triumph.

However, Nancy lost Guinea Bissau defender Bocoundji Ca who was sent-off in the last minute.

There were mixed fortunes for African stars at Boulogne - Senegal midfielder Mame Ndiaye was sent-off as early as the 16th minute but his side still managed to beat Lens 2-1 thanks to two first-half goals including one from Zimbabwe's Ovidy Karuru.

Ivory Coast's Gervinho was the hero for Lille who fought back from 3-1 to beat Lyon 4-3. The Ivorian scored twice in the second-half including an easy tap-in in the last minute to secure the points.

In England, former BBC African Footballer of the Year Emmanuel Adebayor of Togo first conceded an unlucky own goal but then helped his Manchester City fight back to win a thrilling encounter with Chelsea.

The ball cannoned off his back into his own net in the eighth minute of the game at Eastlands, but he made amends before half-time with a crisp finish from close range.

City eventually beat the league leaders Chelsea 2-1 - whose lead at the top of the table has now been cut to two points by Manchester United.

Elsewhere, Ivory Coast striker Aruna Dindane continued his erratic form with Portsmouth.

First he had a penalty saved against Burnley but then later in the game headed home to help his side to a 2-0 win.

ITALY

In Italy there is only one African goal to report as Cameroon's Samuel Eto'o scored Inter Milan's only goal in their 2-1 defeat at Juventus.

And Angola's Manucho scored in Real Valladolid's 1-1 draw with Sevilla.

Guinean Alhassane Keita blasted home the final goal for Real Mallorca as they enjoyed a second half blitz of goals to outclass Zaragoza 4-1.

Not such good news for Mali midfielder Yaya Keita as he was sent-off after receiving a second yellow card as his side Xerez lost 2-0 at home against Atletico Madrid.
