England amateurs beat Welsh team in Uefa Regions Cup
Guernsey captain Sam Cochrane leads out England's representatives
Guernsey, England's amateur side in the Uefa Regions Cup, won their second game in the preliminary round against Welsh side Gwent County in Croatia.
Two goals from striker Ross Allen and one from Glyn Dyer helped the island side secure Sunday's victory.
The amateur teams are representing their countries after winning their respective national cup competitions.
Both sides have one game left to play as they try to qualify for the next round of the European competition.
The island side started their second game of the preliminary round on the attack and were rewarded by a goal from Allen in the 15th minute.
This was followed by another from Dyer exactly 10 minutes later.
The Welsh side came out determined in the second half, but could not contain Guernsey as Allen scored his second in the 54th minute.
Turkish side Ankara and Dalmacija, representing the Croatian hosts, had a goalless draw leaving Ankara and Guernsey equal on points at the top of the table with the two sides meeting in the round's final fixtures on Tuesday.
The winners of Group A will join Group B winners Carmiel Safed from Israel, the winners of Group C -the final fixtures of which are to be played on Wednesday - and the two best performing runners up in the intermediary qualifying round.

In calculating which two second-placed teams qualify only the results against the teams who finished in first and third are considered, as the result against the fourth place team is ignored.
That intermediary qualifying round will decide the eight teams who will play in the tournament's finals, which are held every two years, with the next due to be in June 2011.
Traditionally it is hosted by one of the eight regions, or national associations, that have qualified for the finals.
The Southern Amateur League, who represented England in the 2008/09 Uefa Regions Cup, failed to qualify from the preliminary round despite not conceding a goal as they lost out on goal difference in a group that included the Republic of Ireland, Italy and Scotland.
Gwent County represented Wales at the last Regions Cup and lost all three of their games in the preliminary round.
