England amateurs prepare to play Croatia counterparts
Guernsey wore the England kit in a friendly against a Republic of Ireland side
England's top amateur side are preparing to play their Croatian counterparts in the first match of their Uefa Regions Cup campaign.
Guernsey Senior County League, from the Channel Island of Guernsey, won the National League System Cup in May to win the right to represent England.
The biennial tournament is open to all 53 of Uefa's members, provided they run a domestic championship.
The England side will also play Wales and Turkey in the preliminary round.
The Guernsey side, who normally play in green and white, will don the official England kit to play the matches - including if needed the red away strip, which is the colour of Channel Island-rivals Jersey.

The winner of the round-robin matches will progress to the intermediary round, joining FC Carmiel Safed of Israel, who won Group B, the winner of Group C,as well as the top two runners-up.
The competition, which started in 1999, has always involved a series of qualifying mini-tournaments being held to end up with an eight-team final round, which expanded to include a preliminary round in 2005.
The finals are played between two groups of four teams, which play each other once in a league format, with the team's that finish top of the two tables taking each other on in the final.
So far Spain have been the most successful nation, winning two of the past six finals and finishing runners-up in another.
Spanish side Castile and Leon are the current holders.
