Football

St Mary's finished second in the Manx Premier League after a hard-fought 3-2 victory away at Peel on Tuesday.

The result sees St Mary's finish two points clear of Laxey and five short of champions Rushen, who claimed their first top flight title for 22 years.

Jamie Skillen, Marc Priestnal and Steven Priestnal netted for the Bowl outfit with Kerron Christian and Terry Rigaux on target for Peel.

The westerners finish the season in fourth position.
