Entries for the Pre-TT event are up 10% on 2009 |
The Pre-TT Classic on the Billown Course will open this year's fortnight of TT racing on the Isle of Man. The first practice session on the course around the 4.25 mile circuit, which is in the south of the island, will be held on Friday evening. Organiser, Phil Edge told BBC Isle of Man: "We are all geared up for some great racing and we've got a really strong line-up for 2010." The first race will be on Saturday with the main race day on Monday. Edge added: "Entries are up 10% on last year and considering the economic climate we are delighted to have such faith in the event." The races will feature 250cc and 350cc Singles, Lightweight, Junior, Senior, Unlimited Classic and Post Classic solo machines, as well as sidecar racing. The event will culminate with the popular Open Air Concours d'Elegance of Racing Machines and a Prize Presentation in Castletown Square on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the first practise session on the Mountain Course will commence on Saturday evening with the Solo Newcomers first out.
