Guernsey are through to the semi-finals of the National League System cup following a 3-2 win over Hertfordshire at the Corbet Field on Saturday.

Dave Rihoy made the sides level after the visitors took the lead before Tom Strawbridge put the islanders in front.

After a second goal from Hertfordshire Craig Young scored the winning goal with just three minutes to go.

Coach Tony Vance said: "I think we ground out a result there, credit to Hertfordshire they're a good side."

He added: "They caused us some problems and they definitely wanted it, certainly more so than us in the first half.

"A poor goal to concede, and then we got ourselves back into it the game and then again another poor goal but we grounded the result out which is the main thing really."
