Second-placed First Tower United ended champions Portuguese Club's perfect record after a 1-1 draw in the Championship on Saturday.
Tower were the better side and in the first half Blake Applegate's effort was touched on to the post.
Andy Dewhurst put Tower in front in the 31st minute with a curled free kick.
But Portuguese equalised eight minutes after the interval when Jao Anturnes chased a long-ball and produced a lovely shot across Tower's keeper.
Despite the draw, Tower stay in second with 29 points just one ahead of Magpies who lost 3-2 at home to fourth placed St Clement who are a further point behind.
With St Clement having two games in hand on Magpies and one on First Tower the race for the last promotion place is still up in the air.
