First Tower United moved up to third place in Jersey's Championship after beating fifth-placed Jersey Nomads 4-0 at La Hague on Saturday.

Stewart Daynes hit two while John Workman and Adam Lester also scored as they stayed three points off second-placed Magpies with a game in hand.

Pies beat bottom side St Martin/SCF 5-2 with Steve Cumming scoring twice.

Leaders Portuguese Club kept their perfect record of 12 wins from 12 with a 5-0 win over St John.

Richard Russell hit two for Portuguese while Jose-Manuel Vieira, Ricardo Perreira and Antonio Antunes all scored one.

The victory means Portuguese need just two more to guarantee promotion to the top flight next season and three more wins to secure the title.

Elsewhere, St Clement dropped a place to fourth after their game at home to St Lawrence was postponed while Beeches leapfrogged St Brelade into sixth place after coming away from the western parish with a 2-1 win.
