Portuguese Club won Jersey's Coca-Cola Combination Championship with a 2-1 win over bottom side St Martin/SCF.

Portuguese, still undefeated in the league this year, are now looking ahead to the 2009/10 season.

But the race for the second promotion spot is close, with three teams all still in with a chance.

Second-placed Magpies and third-placed First Tower United did themselves no favours with a 0-0 draw and now have St Clement to deal with.

There are only four points between Magpies and fourth-placed St Clement after the parish side enjoyed a 4-2 win at St John.

St Clement have a game in hand on First Tower and two on the Pies, so the second promotion spot is now a three-horse race.
