Despite an exciting title race there is no new deal for Guernsey's league
Guernsey Football Association chairman Mark Le Tissier says they may have to rein back their events if they cannot find new sponsorship.
The association's deals for the Muratti, island team and domestic leagues all end this summer.
Sports sponsorship is one area under threat because of the recession.
"We have to be realistic and have to understand that there are commercial pressures on our partners," Le Tissier told BBC Guernsey.
Jersey's league has seen its sponsor Cimandis, who also back the Muratti, pull out after five years and more sports are finding it harder to get the funding they need.
"If we are unable to do something because we haven't got the money then we're unable to do it and that's just the way it is I'm afraid," Le Tissier added.
