The president of North football club says he is confident the Guernsey Football Association will make the right decision for the game's future.
Dave Finn attended a GFA meeting to discuss the future of football on the island at Port Soif on Wednesday.
Finn, who is worried by the lack of an Under-18 league in the plans, told BBC Guernsey: "They do listen and hopefully they'll get it right."
But the rift between the GFA and social leagues remains.
Attendees also said that challenges still exist in providing a level playing field for the island's youngsters and around an Under-21 development league.
