Havant and Waterlooville defeat Jersey in pre-season friendly
FA Cup heroes Havant & Waterlooville beat Jersey 4-0 in Thursday's pre-season friendly at Springfield.
After an entertaining first thirty minutes, the match was effectively decided after three goals in the last twenty minutes of the first half.
"We were looking for a professional display and it was. The opposition were good," Havant boss Shaun Gail said.
Jersey manager Dave Kennedy added: "It was a great exercise for us. We were outstanding in the first half hour."
Our first half an hour was probably some of the best football I've seen in the last 18 months from the lads.

Havant & Waterlooville, from the Blue Square South division, almost caused one the biggest upsets in the history of the FA Cup when they twice lead against Liverpool in the fourth round at Anfield last season.
The two teams will line up again on Saturday for a re-match and both sides looking forward to it.
"We want to go out and see an improvement from the lads.
"But our first half an hour on Saturday was probably some of the best football I've seen in the last 18 months," Kennedy told BBC Radio Jersey
Havant boss Shaun Gail is also geared-up for the second match and is glad his team are staying on the island a bit longer.
"The football's obviously paramount, that's what we came here for, but getting the boys together bonding is just as important so it's a good choice."
Saturday's match kicks-off at Springfield Stadium at 1430 BST.
