Scottish win the Le Riche cup after beating St Paul's 4-3 in extra time |
Jersey Scottish have won one of the most thrilling Le Riche Cup finals in years after beating St Paul's 4-3. Jack Boyle scored first for the Scots after just two minutes but Craig Leitch equalised two minutes later.
James Fortune's own goal made it 2-1 to the Scots after 30 minutes but a minute later Stuart Andre replied and then on 38 minutes Boyle gave them a 3-2 lead.
With just four minutes left Leitch equalised before Ali Santos won it in the eighth minute of extra-time.
Scottish boss Pat Brennan told BBC Radio Jersey: "My nerves are totally shot and I have no finger nails left.
"It's a good result for Scottish against the supposed league champions."

The win for Scottish was even more remarkable because four of their regular island players - Scott Devlin, Ross Crick, Dave Brodie and Paul Aitkin were out injured.
"Tonight the Scottish totally deserved it, we were the best team on the night," added Brennan.
"It thought we dominated most of the game," said Scottish defender Lee Burns.
"We've got the heart, we haven't had the best of seasons but we beat the league champions and I think we deserved it."
Scottish's victory kept up their record of having won the cup in every even numbered year since 1998.
St Paul's should secure the island's league title if they can win their final two matches or third-placed Trinity fail to win any of their remaining three games.
